Villanova University law school is one of the top programs in the country, especially for its online programs. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education regionally accredits the school, and the American Bar Association has given it an independent accreditation.

Currently, the only programs that are open for online enrollment are Master of Laws in Taxation and a Master Certificate in Business and Law of Sports. Washington University in St. Louis is one of the best grad schools in the United States for law according to U.S. News. While the university is regionally accredited by the NCACS and the HLC, it also has an independent accreditation from the American Bar Association.

Currently, the ABA requires students to receive a maximum of 15 credit hours of online instructions to obtain a J.D. Online courses are taught asynchronously, although some electives require synchronous work.
